Thermal Management Materials for 800V High-Voltage Battery PACK to Achieve Cell Temperature Equalization and Long-Term Sealing Protection
Green Energy Power’s 800V high-voltage battery PACK project suffered large cell temperature difference, condensation and water ingress under thermal cycling, and rising thermal resistance under vehicle vibration. Huacheng supplied IATF16949-qualified TIF070-11 automotive thermal gel together with TIG-AG8 thermal grease for electronic control units. The solution reduces cell temperature difference, improves sealing and vibration reliability of battery packs and extends battery service life.
Green Energy Power’s new 800V high-voltage battery PACK has strict requirements for cell temperature uniformity, vibration resistance and thermal cycling durability. Early sampling revealed excessive cell temperature difference, poor interface contact after long-time vehicle vibration, and condensation corrosion risk caused by failed PACK housing sealing. In line with automotive-grade project requirements, Huacheng selected TIF070-11 dispensable thermal gel to fill gaps between cells and cold plates. Its self-leveling property fits irregular contact surfaces. The cured gel absorbs vibration elastically, reduces cell temperature difference and suppresses thermal runaway propagation. TIG-AG8 automotive thermal grease with low oil bleeding is adopted for BMS and PDU high-voltage control modules to maintain stable performance under long-term high-temperature conditions. All materials passed reliability tests including thermal cycling, vibration aging and flame retardancy and comply with IATF16949. The materials fit the customer’s automatic dispensing production line and have entered mass production to support the commercialization of the customer’s new energy battery project.
